Founder & CEO
Takeshi Shinoda
(April 2007 – Present)

Graduated with a degree in Economics from Keio University in 1985. Takeshi began his career in financial accounting at Komatsu Ltd, a leading Japanese manufacturing corporation. Driven by the opportunity to gain international experience Takeshi joined Nikko Securities, working at their Tokyo Headquarters. Two years after joining the firm, he transferred to the New York office where he worked for the next seven years as a Forex Dealer and Corporate Treasurer. When Japan’s “bubble economy” burst, Japanese financial firms began withdrawing from overseas business but Takeshi continued to be motivated to gain experience in various international financial firms. This led him to roles at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, where he was Director and Head of Equity Finance for Asia; ING Barings, where he was Director and Head of Equity Finance for Asia Pacific; and BNP Paribas, where he was Managing Director and Head of Japanese Equities and Equity Derivatives. In 2007, he founded Aristagora Advisors and has since served as CEO. He is also President & CEO of T&R Holdings. In 2017 Takeshi was included in the Japan Times 100 Next-Era Leaders in Asia. In collaboration with a Swiss Private Bank, he also authored  “The Lies and Truths about Private Banks” (published in 2017).
